COUNTING THE NUMBERS...
Currently over 4090 visits, nearly 600 a week from over 90 locations around the world...

Since starting the blog at the beginning of the year, we have had over 4090 visits for not only our students and parents, but many others from around the world. We are averaging close to 600 hits a week from about 90 locations from within Australia and around the world. We have grandparents, relatives and friends in other countries visiting to see students who have won certificates or are performing in one of the video clips...welcome to you all.
It is great that students and their parents are able to give you this address so you can have a look from wherever you are around the world... We use Clustrmap and Geoglobe to record these visits. Clustrmap has puts dots on the world map and Geoglobe shows the flags of the countries visitors come from and clicking on them shows the city the visitor is from. I have included some examples to see. We also have a counter to record overall numbers and of course some people are making regular visits.

ANZAC CEREMONY...
Today we had our ANZAC Ceremony to remember those who gave their lives so we can enjoy the freedoms and lifestyle we have today. Thankyou to our special guests, Mr Stewart who spoke about his war time experiences and Mrs Velterop who played the bugle for us. Also thanks to all the students who had special parts to play, the choir and vocal and string ensembles and teachers and staff who assisted to make it such a special event. Special thanks to Mrs McKay for all her hard work in putting the ceremony together. Thanks to our students for their photo and video work also, we'll make sure we have a tripod for next year...

CHOIR AND VOCAL ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCES...
The Choir and the Vocal Ensemble sang several songs at their assembly today and did a very good job, much to the credit of our Music Teacher, Mrs Robinson. Thank you to Mrs Robinson and her accompanyist friend Dale Kircher... The video clips don't do justice to the hard work and competence of our singers, but are a glimpse of the talent we have both in our staff and our students. Note: The loud "bang" heard in the Choir's second song, is a noisy worker loading a truck outside the assembly area.

School Choir - "On With The Show"...

School Choir - "One Voice, One Song"

Vocal Ensemble - "It's A Lovely Day"...

Vocal Ensemble - "Hallelujah"...

Here is a list of the books to go in the library....click on it to see a larger copy...

SNAIL STUDIES... The Pre Primary's are excited about studying snails and have lots of them in an aquarium in class. They have been designing snail homes and learning lots of things about them like having eyes on stalks and their feelers can also be called tentacles...

ANZAC BISCUITS... The Year 6/7's have been working hard making lots of ANZAC Biscuits as part of their studies into the ANZAC's. The staff were very tempted to sample some, as they cooled after being taken out of the stove in the staffroom before lunch.

YEAR 1/2's BALANCING ACT... The Year 1/2's have been learning about balancing weights on the Balancing Scales with Mrs Retallack and Ms Wheatley, who have been working closely together with their classes.

AREA NINE 3D SHAPES
... Area 9 are
learning lots about three dimensional shapes by making 3D structures. Callum and Brendon made a rocket and the class wrote about all the different shapes they had used to make it. Other students have made all sorts of structures and some are still working on theirs.
