Kids Kept in at Lunchtime...Owls Shaken...
With the storm front hitting just before lunch today, we went into full wet weather conditions with children lunching in class. Teachers partnered up to take turns supervising classes next to each other and taking time for lunch. As the high winds with the storm were bringing down branches from the many trees on the school site, we had to keep students in classes for the whole of lunchtime. Not many of them seemed to be very perturbed, enjoying doing puzzles and activities on interactive whiteboards and computers, as well as drawing and reading and playing boardgames, among other things...
Our Owls have a Shaky Day...
The pair of Boobook Owls that have been at Oberthur for a few years now, had a shaky day in the trees as the high winds whipped them about.
I was being closely watched as I took this photo of Mr Owl. Mrs Owl was up there too, but not as concerned by my presence with the camera, preferring not to be photographed with her feathers windswept or ruffled...Mr M
